FNF iFive X2 Review - Conclusion

Well, this is the end. Congratulations if you made it this far. (Shame on all of you who have skipped to the end! :)...)

Having already reviewed the Mini3 and now having reviewed the X2 I must say that I am really happy with the FNF brand. They are bringing a degree of professionalism to the China tab market that has been long overdue and if you are in the market to buy a new device I would strongly advise you to consider and support them.

With the X2 you nearly get it all... A retina quality display, compact size , excellent all-around performance, and excellent battery life all in a well-designed and incredibly well built package.

Just to finish out, here is a quick list of the Pro and Cons:

Top Notch:
- RK3188 Processor - Best-in-Class performance, price, and power efficiency
- 2 Gb of ram
- Solid design and excellent build quality utilizing a Magnesium Frame
- 9" Widescreen Retina Display
- Excellent Firmware and as a result excellent performance
- Physical Volume Rocker
- LONG battery life
- Bluetooth on board

Mediocre:
- Marginally better-than-average wifi
- Front-Firing speakers with sufficient but not excellent sound
- Marginally better than average cameras (not saying much here...)
- HDMI out is a "micro" port rather than a "mini"
- They went with white and silver...
- Gaming is going to eventually be limited as 1920x1200 is seemingly the top-end of the performance spectrum for the RK3188 (I still have to test the PiPo M6 though...)

Cons:
- No GPS, No 3G
- It isn't free
- Plastic back panel
- People may try to steal it...
